Positive Prevention PLUS Upper Elementary School Comprehensive Sexual Health Education curriculum is written in consultation with school nurses and teachers for grades 4-6 and is aligned with the National Health Education Standards and the National Sexuality Education Standards. There are eight lessons, and the curriculum topics include Puberty, Human Reproduction, Hygiene, Diseases, and their Transmission, Friendship, Bullying Behaviors, and Staying Safe and Healthy. It features engaging and easy-to-follow semi-scripted lessons and support materials, including classroom slides with animated stories at the beginning and end of each lesson, plus worksheet and activity card masters; additional online support materials for administrators, parents, and teachers, including LGBTQ-related information, are also provided. Discussion questions in the Lesson Wrap-Ups for parents and students include parents in delivering this valuable information. Black-line masters of worksheets and activity cards are provided in each lesson OR see our store for available activity card sets and student workbooks of all lesson worksheets, which can be ordered in English and Spanish.
