The Positive Prevention PLUS High School Curriculum, California Edition features 14 engaging, medically accurate, and inclusive lessons that empower students to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. Building on the foundation of the 2021 edition, this updated curriculum introduces new lessons on menstrual health, body image, and digital influence, while expanding its focus on equity, consent, and long-term wellness. With a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, the curriculum provides structured opportunities for skill-building, reflection, and real-world application. Each lesson includes access to digital teaching tools and slide decks, supporting both in-person and virtual instruction.

In compliance with new CHYA mandates under Assembly Bill 2053, the 2025 edition now includes essential information and resources on adolescent relationship abuse and intimate partner violence. Students are provided with access to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, as well as local support hotlines, ensuring they know where to turn for help.
The curriculum also meets the requirements of Assembly Bill 2229 by incorporating menstrual health education, providing inclusive, comprehensive instruction for all students.
