Refresher for Sexual Health Education
The CA Dept. of Education recommends that teachers responsible for providing comprehensive sexual health education (CSE) participate in follow-up or refresher training every few years. Our Refresher training option is intended for experienced educators who are already implementing the current curriculum and have previously completed a full training. It is designed as a refresher or streamlined support, and IS NOT a substitute for initial training. The 2.5-hour training provides an overview of key updates and recent amendments to CHYA, as well as new findings around best practices for implementing CSE in a manner reflective of the ever-evolving realities, both in-person and virtually, that young people today are experiencing.
REQUIRED TRAINING MATERIALS:
Important: The Teacher Edition (TE) Curriculum binder must be purchased separately and be in the participant’s possession before the training. Please order your TE binder at least two weeks before the training date.
Failure to have these required materials may result in denial of access to the training.
